life update

Been a while since I wrote anything here. Time moves pretty fast when your life is falling apart. I want to write here, to learn about the world and myself.

What’s the plan?

This website used to be tbhalvi.me now I am too broke to renew that personal domain. Anyhow in my final year (hopefully) of being a undergrad student. Still have no idea how I survived this long. It was not bad and not great. Met some awesome people in my university. Also shoutout to 8 no. gate.

What I have been doing

Here are some stuff that is related to my degree I have been doing (or trying to do):

  • trying to understand the transformer archticture and how we can use it for domain adaptation (bangla nlp)
  • exploring computer vision by detecting defects in foil stamping (anomaly detection)
  • made some mediocre websites(static and dynamic) for companies, used vps, wordpress, php, (linux for vps)
  • read a paper on image restoration and tried to implement it using open ai clip model which was fun and traumatising
  • prompt engineering (mostly this)

Things I’m looking forward to

Here is a random list of things that I am looking forward to in no particular order that helps me tolerate my boring life:

  • have steak with father in banani, which i heard tastes really good
  • will get to meet my bro in a festival in friday and also meet sam dalrymple (author, historian) and chill
  • go to brac for collaboration in ai project (computer vision)
  • hopefully will get some money for car oil
  • mid and quiz of semiconductor course will be over
  • english literature class (love my faculty, he got a chill vibe) also have cool people from my school here (cgsd)
  • also hopefully see my dmd friend by the end of next week

Things I’m not looking forward to

not looking forward to this stuffs:

  • quiz and mid of analaog electronics
  • morning engineering drawing class and assignment
  • data annotation and creating dataset for anomaly detection
  • my wallet and bkash balance by the end of the month
  • old people giving unsolicited advice

Closing remarks

If you read this far, you should get a job. No just kidding, you are a cool person. Keep me in your prayers so that i survive this week and maybe write something interesting and share with you.
